Ladakh is a trekker’s paradise with several easy to challenging trails. The best time to go trekking is from June to September when the weather is relatively stable. The Markha Valley Trek is one of the most popular and it takes you through some of the most stunning scenery in Ladakh. The trek starts from Spituk, passes through the villages of Rumbak, Skiu, Markha and ends at Hankar.

The Nubra Valley is another must-visit for any Ladakh trip. The valley is home to the world’s highest motorable road, the Khardung La Pass. The valley gets its name from the distinctive white sand dunes found here which are a result of wind erosion of glacial deposits. You can take a double-humped camel ride on the sand dunes or simply enjoy the views.
